Greetings, Glad Gang! We're excited to announce a spiffy new feature on our website: The Dressing Room! Here you'll meet wonderful people across the globe who are contributing to the vintage and sustainable fashion movement - like our first feature, Erica of Recyled Fashion! We love to showcase shops and blogs and other nifty projects created by Vintage Gals (and Guys!), Refashionistas (and Refashionistos?), and Sustainable Sisters (and Brothers!). So get a wiggle on over to The Dressing Room and try someone new on!

Hey Glad Gang, its the Gals again! We decided to add some special new rewards in exchange for your pledge. Take advantage of the Glad Gals as your personal shoppers, searching and thrifting for your perfect vintage tee and handmaking some awesome vintage printed magnets from old newspapers and magazines! Will it be Tee Time for you? Receive a unique, vintage t-shirt from our travels! Or will we be drawn to you, DIY style, by sending some Glad Gal made magnets for your pledge? Take note that not only does our Glad Pack include green travel essentials, we've added a vintage accessory thrifted for you! We hope you'll let us be your personal shoppers, we like to think we're pretty good at it! Remember, positive change never goes out of style and every time you update your wardrobe, take a moment and think. Vintage clothing is high quality, unique and green. The thrill of the search for your perfect vintage piece will fuel our trip across the country and we hope you'll join the Glad Rags movement too. -Vallerie Today marks the end of Week One for our Glad Rags Kickstarter project! First of all, we want to express our greatest #gladitude to family, friends and strangers turned friends for your wonderful support, feedback and overall gladness for our cause. This experience has been nothing short of amazing and the rest is really yet to come! Be sure to spread the word about the importance of sustainable fashion, and promoting change in style and don’t forget our awesome vintage and handmade rewards! Besides a great big thanks for an awesome first week, we wanted to share a little bit of our personal life with you to give you a look inside what it’s like to be a Glad Gal. Currently, Glad Gal Vallerie is in the process of packing up her life in Connecticut to move to Los Angeles, hence the road-trip aspect of our project. Throughout her pre-move activities, she has been conscious of reducing waste through clothing donations, repurposing old shirts for cleaning, and figuring out a use or new home for items she must part with. For example, the clothing you saw us sitting under and throwing at you in our video has since been donated or handed down to friends and family. Some items she even traded with her friends to refresh not only her wardrobe, but their closets as well! Did you skip spring cleaning this year? We know it’s the summer but on the next rainy day, take a moment and go through that drawer or shelf you haven’t touched in a while. Decide what to keep, reuse, or donate. Baby steps, Glad Gang, and the best part is, you’re allowed to replace that dress you decided to donate, may we suggest a vintage 1960s cocktail get-up or sundress? Go on, get out your Glad Rags and promote change, in style, because Glad Gang, that trend will never end. Have a story to tell? We would be #glad to interview you virtually or on the road trip, just e-mail us! Weave your thread in the story of vintage by connecting with the Glad Gals on Facebook, Twitter or follow the story on Tumblr. Show off your Glad Rags by tagging us on Instagram, we can’t wait to see you there.

And remember, positive change never goes out of style! Yesterday we went into Boston to check out the SoWa Vintage Market to meet some vintage sellers in the Boston area. SoWa happens every Sunday inside an old brick building and is a beautiful indoor market showcasing collections by vintage sellers from all across MA and some from RI as well. We met some fantastic and enthusiastic people and are exciting to start scheduling interviews for as soon as next weekend!
In the meantime, we're working hard on prepping the Kickstarter campaign for launch next week! Keep your eyes open on this page for a link to the campaign soon, where you can watch our special video and learn even more about the project.
